Located halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles, Paso Robles wine region is a gem within California’s Central Coast and is known for its diverse range of wines and rich wine history.
While Napa Valley is the most famous wine region on California, Paso Robles to the south of SF Bay Area (and only an hour away from Santa Barbara), although not as popular, is one of the best wine tasting regions in the US and California. The vibe of Paso Robles wineries is chill, laid back and the tastings are less formal and friendly. Compared to the wineries of Napa, wineries in Paso Robles are less crowded, easier to walk-in without appointment and closer to each other.
As a Certified Sommelier, wine is my passion and I know a thing or two about best wines and wineries of Paso Robles. This blogpost is a sommelier’s guide to the 25 best wineries in Paso Robles. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or a casual wine drinker, Paso Robles offers an unforgettable journey into the heart of California wine country and is a must visit!
